How to Hide or Restore All Tabs with Single Click in Chrome

I have experienced, many people open and use several type of websites and Blogs on their workplace or institution which is highly restricted to open there. Usually, some people grabbed by their boss or colleague while closing or opening these websites on their browser.

Have you ever been scolded by your boss or teacher because he or she has witnessed you during closing or opening some restricted websites?

If your answer is – Yes

Then today I am going to explain useful tips and tricks which will save you from being embarrassed anywhere (workplaces or institutions etc). In other words, you will be able to hide or restore all tabs with a click. Let’s know what it is:
PanicButton is useful Chrome extension that allows users to hide or restore all the open tabs in Chrome browser with single click. when you will click on the PanicButton icon all the open tabs will hidden and only a blank tab will present, when you will click on same button again then all the hidden tabs will be restored automatically.

You can freely set one or more pages to open after hiding all open tabs. Even you can also create a keyboard shortcut to open or restore all tabs.
To get started with it, firstly Install PanicButton Extension in your Chrome browser. When installation will be completed then a panic button icon will appear in the omni bar. Clicking on this icon you will be able to hide or restore all the tabs. Default PanicButton icon (Before hiding tabs) is red as shown below.

After hiding all open tabs, this icon will become green and will display the total count of all hidden tabs.

To restore all hidden tabs, make a click on this icon again and it will restore all your hidden tabs with refreshing.  If you do not wish to restore all hidden tabs then delete the "temporary Panic" folder from Chrome’s "Other bookmarks" folder.

You can very easily set the custom keyboard shortcut to hide or restore all tabs immediately. To set a custom keyboard shortcut, make a right click on the PanicButton icon and select options. Now a new window will appear as shown below, from here you can set a keyboard shortcut according to your wish.

Interesting thing with this extension is you can also set a password protection to restore hidden tabs. This option will provide protect to your hidden tabs. Whenever you will try to open all the hidden tabs, you will have to enter your fixed password.

If you want to show a new tab page after hiding all the tabs then you can set from the section of "set a safe page". You can also freely set one or more pages to show.

I will personally suggest all of you that you must use this useful extension in office where you do not wish to show others what webpages you were surfing. I am using this and feeling very protective, now it's your turn to use.
